Keeping high throughput all the year, we managed to decrease our turnover time (time between sample’s arrival to Poznan and age reporting). Currently, this time is ca. 16-18 weeks. |
The service of Poznań Radiocarbon Laboratory includes sample preparation, AMS 14C measurement, calculation of conventional 14C age and calibration of 14C date (for ages within range of the calibration curve, for archaeological samples – “automatically”, for other samples – on request).
Samples forwarded for 14C dating in our Laboratory must registered in our database. Registration may be performed by a client himself – using our on-line sample registration form. Alternatively, sample may be registered by our personnel, if the submitted sample is accompanied with description, prepared on our sample information sheet1.
Additionally, the submitted sample must be accompanied with:

- EU VAT number of the ordering institution or a declaration that this institution is not a payer of VAT in its country2
- customs declaration (preferrably on our form), with the minimum “value for customs purposes”3
1 sample descriptions may be sent together with the samples, or simply by e-mailed
2 applicable when the ordering institution is from the EU country
3 applicable when the samples are sent from outside the EU
3 for particular job, discount for persistent customers depends on the total number of dates ordered by the particular sample submitter or bought by the particular institution (whichever the bigger) during the current calendar year plus the year preceding arrival of samples for the current job.
